The Middle East renewable energy market was valued at $48.03 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to $136.88 billion by 2034, registering a compound annual growth rate of 12.34%, driven by rising electricity demand, energy diversification, and climate commitments. Iran lead the market with a 33.3% share, supported by strong government investment and abundant solar and wind resources. Solar power dominated with a 53.8% share, driven by high solar irradiance and falling technology costs, while industrial users accounted for over 50.9% of demand.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held talks with Scatec and Envision Energy to expand renewable energy cooperation and attract foreign investment into Egypt’s clean energy sector. The discussions focused on solar, wind, and energy storage projects, as well as localizing technology and strengthening domestic supply chains. Scatec and Envision Energy expressed plans to expand investments, citing government support and an improving business environment. The meeting also reviewed plans to advance solar generation, electricity storage, and wind power infrastructure.
