ZAKH Renewable Energy and Engineering Manufacturing launched a full-cycle manufacturing facility dedicated to producing solar modules and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). The facility is located in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone in the UAE. The facility has an annual solar module production capacity of 600 MW and can manufacture up to 500,000 square meters of BIPV façade solutions. It integrates research, engineering, customization, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities. The company has also said its production facility and its branded solar modules have received approval from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, allowing the modules to be used in eligible grid-connected projects in Dubai.

The Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund, under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, launched a project to install solar systems at buildings operated by 18 municipalities in southern Jordan. The initiative is part of a national program covering 104 municipalities and 188 municipal buildings, with a planned combined solar capacity of approximately 3.4 MW.

Omani clean energy company O-Green installed a 9.6 MW wind turbine at the Special Economic Zone in Duqm, Oman. The turbine has a 115-meter tower and blades nearly 100 meters long and is expected to supply electricity to industrial facilities in Duqm, including the nearby Mawarid wind turbine manufacturing facility. The installation forms the Duqm North component of the broader Duqm North and South Wind Project, which is planned to comprise six turbines totaling 58 MW. Duqm South will account for five turbines with a combined capacity of 48 MW. Once operational, the two projects are expected to generate around 190 GWh annually.

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, Masdar, signed a collaboration agreement with Azerbaijan Green Energy Company to evaluate additional renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan. The companies will explore expanding Masdar’s operational 230 MW Garadagh Solar PV project by at least 350 MW and adding a battery energy storage system of up to 200 MWh. They will also assess the development of a 100 MW round-the-clock renewable energy project.
