Maharashtra Invites Bids for a 15 kW Solar Project in Ralegan-Siddhi

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has issued a tender for a 15 kW grid-connected solar power project at Hind Swaraj Trust in Ralegan-Siddhi, Maharashtra.

The last date for the submission of bids is October 9, 2019.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹7,20,000 (~$10,100) based on the benchmark cost of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

The interested bidders will have to deposit ₹7,200 (~$101) as the earnest money deposit (EMD).

The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning, along with five years of comprehensive maintenance of the project.

The successful bidder will also be responsible for the free replacement of defective components for the efficient running of the system.

According to the tender, the bidder should ensure that the solar photovoltaic power generation project should be commissioned within 90 Days from the date of issue of the work order.

To bid for the project, the bidder should manufacture or supply the modules and inverters which comply with the standards mentioned by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

The interested bidder should have prior experience for a single installation of a cumulative capacity of 50 kW in which at least one project should be of 10 kW capacity and should be working successfully for at least one year. The bidder should have an overall average annual turnover of at least ₹1,500,000 (~$21,042).

As the time frame for the completion of work is 90 days, the successful bidder is expected to complete 60% of the work in 40 days, and in two months the completion of the work should be 80%. In three months, the work should be completed failing which, the bidder will be liable for a penalty against the incomplete milestone.

Recently, Mercom reported that MEDA floated nine tenders for solar projects in nine municipal councils totaling 12.2 MW. The projects are under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (Amrut) Abhiyan in the state.

Previously, it was reported that the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), issued tender inviting bids to develop 1,350 MW of solar projects across 30 districts. The projects are to be implemented under the Mukhyamantri Solar AG feeder Program for giving daytime power to agricultural consumers.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, 10.9 GW of projects have been tendered in Maharashtra out of which 175 MW are rooftop tenders.
