The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has invited bids for the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, and commissioning of a 25 MW grid-connected solar power project with associated 33 kV evacuation lines in Dhule district of Maharashtra.

The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance activities of the project for 25 years.

The last date to submit the bids online is November 10, 2021. The pre-bid meeting will take place on October 21.

Bidders will have to submit ₹8.5 million (~$113,574) as an earnest money deposit.

Bidders should have experience in successfully executing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of large-scale grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 12.5 MW or higher in the last seven years. The projects should have been running successfully for the previous seven years.

They should also have experience operating and maintaining a solar power project of a minimum capacity of 5 MW for a minimum period of one year. The project should be in operation as of the date of bid submission.

Alternatively, bidders should have executed an industrial project in the last ten years either as a developer or an EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, petrochemical, fertilizer, or any other infrastructure project for a value of ₹850 million (~$11.36 million) or more.

The bidders’ net worth as of the last day of the previous financial year should be positive. The average annual turnover in the last three consecutive financial years should not be less than ₹850 million (~$11.36 million). If a consortium submits the bid, the lead member of the consortium must meet the turnover requirement.

In January this year, MAHAGENCO invited bids from solar power developers for setting up 250 MW of grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects at the Dondaicha Solar Park in Dhule, Maharashtra.

Earlier, MAHAGENCO had issued an expression of interest inviting proposals from landowners to acquire land for the 600 MW of Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Project.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, MAHAGENCO has so far floated tenders for about 3.9 GW of solar power projects.
