ITI, a public sector undertaking under the Department of Telecommunications, has invited expressions of interest (EoI) for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 5 MW grid-connected solar project in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district.

Bids must be submitted by September 9. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹8.78 million (~$99,594) and a tender fee of ₹11,800 (~$133.85).

Selected bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the contract value.

The project’s estimated contract value is ₹439.3 million (~$4.98 million).

The scope of work covers the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. It also includes operation and maintenance for 25 years.

Non-adherence to the project’s scope will attract liquidated damages on a pro-rata basis per ITI’s policy.

Bidders must have executed EPC projects for grid-connected and ground-mounted/rooftop solar projects of a minimum cumulative capacity of 1.25 MW on a turnkey basis in the last seven years. This must have included the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the project. This capacity must have included at least one ground-mounted/rooftop solar power project of a minimum 500 kW or two projects of 250 kW capacities each, located at a single site.

Alternatively, bidders must have executed EPC projects for grid-connected and ground-mounted/rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 2.5 MW on a turnkey basis over the last seven years. This must have included the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the project. This capacity must have included at least one ground-mounted/rooftop solar power project of a minimum 500 kW or two projects of 250 kW capacities each, located at a single site.

Bidders must have a positive net worth in the previous financial year. They must have a minimum average turnover of ₹100 million (~$1.13 million) in the last three financial years.

In February 2025, ITI invited EoI to empanel a consultant to prepare a detailed project report for a 10 MW solar project in Ward No. 12/13 at Bijuri Municipal Council, Madhya Pradesh.
