Hindustan Petroleum Floats O&M Tender for 1.2 MW Solar Project in Karnataka

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has invited bids for the operation, maintenance, and repair of a 1.2 MW solar power project at its Mangalore LPG import facility in Karnataka, including all the string module boxes, inverter units, 1.2 MVA transformers, and 11 kV vacuum circuit breakers at the solar site and outside substation, and associated panels in the substation.

The contract will be valid for one year from the commencement of services.

The last date to submit the bids is October 28, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit 1% of the total contract value as a security deposit within 15 days of the tender’s acceptance.

The successful bidder must furnish 10% of the contract value as a composite performance bank guarantee.

To be eligible, bidders should have a diploma in electrical or instrumentation engineering along with a supervisor’s competency license, with a minimum of two years of experience in substation maintenance. Out of the two years, one year’s experience should be in 33 kV or above capacity.

Alternatively, bidders should have an Industrial Technical Institute certification in electricals with a minimum of three years of experience in substation maintenance, out of which one year should be in 33 kV or above capacity.

The consultant will be solely responsible for employing the workforce to execute the job.

If work is delayed beyond the contractual delivery date, the owner will be entitled to a price reduction at 0.5% of the total contract value for each week of delay, subject to a maximum of 5% of the total contract value.

In June this year, HPCL invited bids to install 2.39 MWdc of ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems at 13 HPCL locations across the country.

Earlier, HPCL had invited bids to develop a 1.3 MW ground-mounted solar project at its Yediyur receiving station in the Tumakuru district of Karnataka.
