The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (GERC) decision to reduce banking charges to ₹1 (~$0.01)/kWh from ₹1.5 (~$0.015)/kWh after a 2.5-year interval has provided much-needed relief to open access consumers and improved project economics.
