GE Vernova to Supply 163 MW Turbines for Enfinity’s Wind Farm

Energy equipment manufacturer GE Vernova has signed an agreement with Enfinity Global to supply and install 43 of its 3.8 MW-154m onshore wind turbines.
The turbines, with a collective capacity of 163.4 MW, will be installed at Enfinity Global’s wind farm in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. The delivery of the turbines is likely to start in the last quarter of 2026.
The turbines for the project will be manufactured at GE Vernova’s Pune facility, which has an annual capacity of up to 1.5 GW. The company stated that the partnership leverages its AI-powered digital blade certification for maximum uptime in India’s unique wind conditions.
Deepak Maloo, General Manager of GE Vernova’s onshore wind business in India, said, “The 3.8 MW–154m turbine being used is designed to deliver efficiency, reliability, and strong performance for India’s wind conditions. With ALMM certification and local manufacturing in Pune, we are well positioned to support Enfinity Global and other customers working to develop projects that will enable India to achieve its 500 GW renewable energy ambition.”
Enfinity Global has a 4 GW renewable portfolio in India with approximately 300 MW already in operation.
The development comes a year after GE Vernova announced an investment of approximately ₹1.4 billion (~$16 million) in India to expand its electrification manufacturing and engineering operations.
The investment was made through the company’s Indian electrification business, GE Vernova T&D India. GE Vernova had said that the strategy would help it build localized manufacturing capacity to serve regional needs better while contributing to global supply chain resilience.
In December last year, GE Vernova bagged a contract from Adani Energy Solutions to supply high-voltage direct current technology for the 2.5 GW Khavda–South Olpad renewable energy transmission corridor in Gujarat.
According to Mercom India Research, India added 1.3 GW of wind power capacity in the second quarter of 2026, down 15% from the previous quarter. Wind installations in India slowed in the second quarter due to supply chain constraints and infrastructure bottlenecks, rather than weak demand.
Industry participants cited shortages of electrical control systems, delays in transmission evacuation infrastructure and grid readiness, and right-of-way issues for transporting turbine components and building transmission infrastructure as the primary reasons for slower commissioning.
