EverGreen, Apraava, and SJVN Win SECIs 1.2 GW Wind Auction

The tender was floated in February this year.

Wind project developers will be responsible for the land acquisition required to set up the projects.

Only certified wind turbine models listed in the ‘Revised List of Models and Manufacturers’ issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will be allowed for deployment under the program.

The declared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) must not be less than 22%. The wind developers should maintain the generation to achieve an annual CUF of not less than 80% of the declared value and not above 120% of the declared CUF during the 25 years of PPA.

In December last year, SJVN, Scatec India II BV, and O2 Power were declared winners in SECI’s auction for 1.2 GW of ISTS-connected wind power projects (Tranche-XIII).

SECI has signed a power sale agreement (PSA) with the Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) for 600 MW of wind power under Tranche XIII of the ISTS-connected Wind Power Projects program.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, SECI has tendered 18.7 GW of wind projects under Tranche I to XIV.
