Pune-based Enrich Energy has bagged an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract, including land, from NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) for a 300 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power project near NTPC Anta, Rajasthan.
The tender was initially floated in October 2024 but was retendered in August 2025.
Enrich is responsible for the identification, acquisition, and transfer of encumbrance-free land in favor of NTPC REL, followed by design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project.
The project must be commissioned within 24 months of the date of award.
The scope also includes the complete power evacuation system up to the NTPC Anta 220 kV switchyard, the development of a new 220 kV bay, the extension of the 220 kV bus, and the construction of the dedicated transmission line, including the right of way.
The scope further includes operation and maintenance of the complete solar project, including the switchyard and evacuation system up to the NTPC Anta substation, for three years from the date of commissioning.
In addition, Enrich must undertake all grid compliance works, including reactive power compensation, harmonics control, CCTV systems, telemetry up to the ISTS pooling substation through NTPC Anta, performance testing to demonstrate guaranteed generation, and the supply of mandatory spares.
It is also responsible for obtaining all agreements, statutory approvals, and clearances related to the project, including those for power evacuation and grid connectivity, environmental requirements, and approvals from relevant central and state authorities.
NTPC REL plans to fund this package through its resources or borrowings.
In January this year, NTPC Green Energy invited bids for the EPC package, including land, for up to 100 MW of agricultural photovoltaic projects.
