Enfros, Stockwell, Himalayan, Sesola Win SECI’s 5.8 MW Rooftop Solar Auction

Enfros Solutions, Himalayan Solar, Stockwell Solar, and Sesola Power Projects won 5.8 MW of the 6.25 MW capacity auctioned by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to set up rooftop solar projects across nine government institutions in six states.

Enfros Solutions has cumulatively won 3.2 MW across four rooftop projects at a tariff of ₹3.34 (~$0.0369)/kWh each.

Enfros won a 350 kW rooftop project at the Indian Institute of Management, Amritsar; a 1 MW project at the Central University of Punjab, Bhatinda; an 860 kW project at the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar; and a 960 kW project at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Himalayan Solar won a 1.5 MW rooftop project at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, at a tariff of ₹ 3.69 (~$0.0408)/kWh.

Stockwell Solar Services cumulatively won 700 kW to set up a 350 kW project at Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, at a tariff of ₹ 3.87 (~$0.0428)/kWh, and a 350 kW project at National Institute of Fashion Technology, Raebarelli, at a tariff of ₹3.93 (~$0.0434)/kWh.

Sesola Power Projects cumulatively won 385 kW. It won a 300 kW project at the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, at a tariff of ₹3.85 (~$0.0425)/kWh, and an 85 kW project at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Surat, at a tariff of ₹4.65 (~$0.0514)/kWh.

The tender was floated in April 2025.

The projects entail design, engineering, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems. It also includes obtaining net-metering approvals and grid connectivity.

The rooftop projects must be completed within 9 months of the effective date of the power purchase agreement.

The projects must use commercially established and operational technologies to minimize technology risk and achieve timely commissioning. They must use modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I.

Recently, Enfros Solutions, Solar Optimised Line, Arka Sustainable Energy Solutions, and Kalpana Construction Company won SECI’s auction to set up 3,850 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across six campuses in New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, and Meghalaya.
