The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has issued a tender to develop a 14 MW floating solar project on the raw water reservoir at the DVC Mejia Thermal Power Station, in the Bankura district of West Bengal.
Bids must be submitted by September 4, 2025. Bids will be opened on September 5.
The project must be commissioned within seven months from the letter of award (LoA) or work order.
Selected bidders must submit a performance security of 3% of the total value of the LoA, work order, or purchase order within 21 days of issuance.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. It also entails providing operation and maintenance services for 12 months.
Selected bidders must manufacture, supply, and deliver the project materials to the site. They must also provide local transportation and supply mandatory spares.
Successful bidders must provide a 12-month guarantee/warranty for the equipment, materials supplied or installed, and work performed under this order from the date of successful completion
Delayed work will attract liquidated damages of 0.5% of the delayed work’s value for each week or part thereof, subject to a ceiling of 5% of the total order value.
Bidders must ensure that all materials, equipment, and services supplied under this order are new, unused, and conform to the owner’s requirements and specifications.
Recently, DVC invited bids to set up a 250 MW/500 MWh battery energy storage system project in Maithon, Jharkhand.
In May of this year, DVC invited bids to set up 234 MW of floating solar projects on the Reservoir of the DVC Maithon Dam, Jharkhand.
In April, DVC invited bids to develop a 288 MW grid-connected floating solar project on the DVC Konar dam reservoir in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.
