Dilip Buildcon, Ceigall Among Winners of MPUVNL’s 4.3 GW Solar Auction

Dilip Buildcon, Sunbridge Solar Power, Landsmill Industries, Purshotam Profiles, and Ceigall India have won 4.01 GW out of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (MPUVNL)’s 4.3 GW solar auction to develop projects under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan program.

Dilip Buildcon won a cumulative capacity of 1,363.54 MW, quoting tariffs ranging from ₹2.74 (~$0.0305)/kWh to ₹2.79 (~$0.0311)/kWh.

Sunbridge Solar Power won a total capacity of 471.29 MW at tariffs ranging from ₹2.75 (~$0.0307)/kWh to ₹2.85 (~$0.0318)/kWh.

Landsmill Industries won 422.02 MW, at tariffs ranging from ₹2.7 (~$0.0301)/kWh to ₹2.75 (~$0.0307)/kWh.

Purshotam Profiles secured 173.15 MW at tariffs ranging between 2.69 (~$0.03)/kWh and ₹2.84 (~$0.0317)/kWh.

Ceigall India won a cumulative capacity of 130 MW at a tariff of ₹2.85 (~$0.0318)/kWh.

Other companies secured a total capacity of 1,459.25 MW at tariffs ranging from ₹2.68 (~$0.0299)/kWh to ₹2.78 (~$0.0310)/kWh.

Neutron Sunray (Neutron Solar) quoted the lowest tariff at ₹2.4 (~$0.026)/kWh, bagging a 5 MW solar project.

Initially, the tender was floated in February 2025 for 1.5 GW of solar projects. The capacity was later increased to 4.3 GW.

The power generated from these projects will be sold to MP Power Management Company.

The projects entail the design, engineering,  construction, and commissioning of the project, including the construction of the bay and related switchgear at the substation.

It also covers comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 25 years.

The projects must be completed within 12 months.

Winners must ensure land acquisition for the projects and the development of the associated infrastructure to connect to the substations.

The projects must maintain an annual capacity utilization factor of 15% annually.

In June 2025, Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam invited bids to develop 1,200 MW of grid-connected solar projects under the feeder solarization component of the Surya Mitra Krishi Feeders program. The power generated will be sold to the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company.

In February 2025, the Madhya Pradesh government’s New and Renewable Energy Department issued the Madhya Pradesh Renewable Energy Policy 2025, which aims to achieve 50% of annual power consumption from renewable energy sources by 2030.
