Dharan Infra Solar, a wholly owned subsidiary of engineering, procurement, and construction company Dharan Infra-EPC, has executed a supply agreement with Skymax Infrapower, an infrastructure company, for 75 MW of solar projects spread across nine sites in Nanded, Maharashtra.

Dharan will design, supply, and install project equipment and structures for the solar project. It will also conduct the related work for setting up and operating the project.

The contract is valued at ₹2.15 billion (~$24.24 million).

Dharan will execute the project between the financial year (FY) 2026 and FY27.

In September of this year, Dharan also received work contracts with an approximate aggregate value of ₹2.62 billion (~$29.55 million) from an undisclosed renewable energy company in India, which is engaged in solar project development. The scope of work was to develop grid-connected solar power projects for the solarization of multiple agricultural feeders at distribution substations in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. The execution timelines for completing the work are up to April 30, 2026.

Skymax has about 90 MW of solar projects under construction across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.

High grid tariffs have been driving several commercial and industrial consumers to opt for solar open access. The demand primarily came from consumers in sectors such as chemicals, fast-moving consumer goods, and textiles, which benefited from savings in electricity costs by switching to solar energy. India added 2.6 GW of solar open access capacity in Q2 2025, up 143% from Q1 and 60.1% YoY, according to the Q2 2025 Mercom India Solar Open Access Market report.

Skyamax also plans to set up a 2 GW solar module and 1.8 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

Dharan has earlier received work contracts valued at approximately ₹11.71 billion from Skymax. Approximately 80% of the total contract value involved international procurement of plant and machinery. The scope of work includes EPC, supply, and installation at Orvakal Industrial Park in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The project execution timelines extend up to March 31, 2027.
