Damodar Valley Corporation Issues Tender for 228 MW Floating Solar Project

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has invited bids to develop a 288 MW grid-connected floating solar project on the DVC Konar dam reservoir in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand.
Bids must be submitted by August 18, 2025. Bids will be opened on August 19, 2025.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹99.47 million (~$1.13 million).
Selected bidders must submit a performance guarantee of 3% of the contract value.
The scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar project.
It also entails providing operation and maintenance services for 10 years.
The project must be evacuated through 33 kV cross-linked polyethylene AC power cables to the termination point at the 33 kV switchyard of the proposed pooling substation at Konar.
Successful bidders must use modules of at least 580 W capacity, with a minimum fill factor of 0.8.
The project must have a minimum performance ratio of 83.79% and a minimum capacity utilization factor of 24.42%.
It must be completed in 18 months.
Bidders must have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection, and commissioned/supervised grid-connected ground/floating solar projects of a cumulative capacity of at least 100 MW. Of the 100 MW, at least two power projects must have a minimum capacity of 10 MW. The projects must have been operational for at least six months.
Alternatively, bidders must have developed a grid-connected ground/floating solar power project of a minimum cumulative installed capacity of 100 MW. Of the 100 MW, at least two projects must have a minimum capacity of 10 MW. These projects must have been operational for at least six months.
Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹3.97 billion (~$45.24 million) in the last three financial years.
They must have a net working capital of at least ₹1.65 billion (~$18.8 million).
Bidders must have a net worth of at least 100% of the paid-up share capital on the last day of the preceding financial year.
In May 2025, DVC invited bids to set up 234 MW floating solar projects on the Reservoir of DVC Maithon Dam, Maithon in Jharkhand.
