Birla Corporation’s Cement Unit to Source Solar Power from Enfinity
RCCPL will acquire a 26% stake in Enfinity Global Energy Innovations

Cement manufacturing company RCCPL, a subsidiary of Birla Corporation, will procure power from a 6 MW group captive solar project set up by Enfinity Global Energy Innovations in Kundanganj, Uttar Pradesh.
RCCPL will invest ₹29.4 million (~$333,426) to acquire a 26% stake in the company. The transaction, which is subject to customary conditions precedents, is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026.
In a regulatory filing, Birla Corporation clarified that this acquisition is not a related-party transaction and that neither the promoters nor the promoter group has any financial interest in the project company.
Enfinity Global Energy Innovations was incorporated on May 19, 2023, and is engaged in power generation, distribution, transmission, and supply, with a particular focus on developing renewable energy.
During the financial year 2024-25, Birla Corporation secured a 6.04% equity stake in Continuum Green Energy II Hybrid Energy, ensuring the supply of 6 MW of hybrid solar-wind power for its Chanderia plant in Rajasthan. Similarly, it acquired a 3.12% stake in Continuum MP Windfarm Development to source 12 MW of hybrid power for the Maihar unit in Madhya Pradesh.
By March 31, 2025, the Birla Corporation’s total green power capacity had grown to 96.55 MW, comprising 41.20 MW of solar power, 43.35 MW from a Waste Heat Recovery System, and 12 MW from hybrid energy sources.
“Green power now accounts for nearly 25% of our total energy consumption – a share that will increase as we begin sourcing solar-wind hybrid power,” the company said in its annual report 2024-25.
