Uttar Gujarat Vij Company (UGVCL) has invited bids to install and commission 54 MW of grid-connected solar power projects for agricultural feeders under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) program along with the 11 kV line and the remote monitoring system.

The project will be developed under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model.

The last date to submit the bids online is July 19, 2022. Bids will be opened on July 25.

Under Component C of the KUSUM program, the government aims to solarize 1.5 million grid-connected solar pumps of individual capacity up to 7.5 HP by 2022.

No earnest money is required to participate in the tender. The successful bidder will have to furnish ₹500,000 (~$6,337)/MW as a performance bank guarantee within 15 days from the issuance of the letter of award.

The project cost is ₹35 million (~$443,625), as estimated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in the guidelines for feeder level solarization.

The project must be commissioned within nine months from signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).

Bidders should have installed and commissioned grid-connected solar power plants with a cumulative capacity of 1 MW, with individual solar projects of 10 kW or more capacity during the last five years with any government or private organization.
