APM Projects Wins MES’ 1 MW Solar EPC Contract

APM Projects has won the Military Engineer Service’s (MES) engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) auction to set up a 1 MW grid-connected solar project at Air Force Station Suratgarh, Rajasthan.
The contract is valued at ₹67.4 million (~$760,113). The scope of work includes the complete EPC covering the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar facility.
The project must be completed within 1,350 days of the site handover, scheduled to occur approximately two weeks after acceptance of the letter of award.
The contractor must also furnish performance security of 5% of the contract value, valid until the expiry of the defects liability period, with an additional minimum buffer of 60 days beyond that duration.
The contractor will be responsible for all associated documentation, including design submissions, quality compliance records, and final commissioning reports for the solar project.
In November this year, APM Projects won MES’ 2.25 MW EPC auction to set up rooftop solar systems at various buildings at Air Force stations in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
In May this year, APM Projects won an EPC auction from the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute to set up a 10 MW grid-connected solar power project at Lakhanpur, Mahanadi Coalfields. The company won the project under a contract valued at ₹487.33 million (~$5.7 million).
In October this year, MES floated a tender to set up a 1 MW grid-connected solar project at Chumathang, Ladakh.
In September, MES invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 2 MW solar project at the military station in Kapurthala, Punjab, under the jurisdiction of the city’s Garrison Engineer.
In July, MES under the Chief Engineer, Bathinda Zone, issued a tender for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of a 5 MW solar project located across Suratgarh (2 MW), Sri Ganganagar (2 MW), and Kanasar (1 MW) in Rajasthan.
