ANERT Invites Bids for 2 MW of Solar Projects in Kerala

Kerala government’s Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has invited bids for 2 MW solar projects at multiple locations of the Travancore Titanium Products company campus at Kochuveli, Thiruvananthapuram.

Out of the cumulative capacity, 1.5 MW will be ground-mounted, and 500 kW of solar systems will be installed on the rooftop of various buildings within the campus.

The projects will be installed under the Solar City project funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram.

The last date for the submission of bids is April 26, 2023. Bids will be opened on the next day.

The scope of the work includes design, supply, engineering, erection testing, and commissioning of grid-connected solar power projects along with ten years of operation & maintenance.

Bidders should furnish ₹200,000 (~$2,437) as an earnest money deposit.

The successful bidder must deposit 3% of the contract till the completion of installation works. The deposit must be in the form of a bank guarantee which will be returned after the commercial operation date.

Bidders must have previously installed and put into operation a solar power project or projects connected to the grid with a capacity of at least 1 MW for a single project and a combined capacity of over 5 MW.

This project must have been commissioned at least two months before the opening of the bid.

The bidder must either have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹80 million (~$975,229) in any two of the previous five financial years before the bid deadline, with the caveat that they must have completed at least two financial years.

Alternatively, the bidder must have a net worth that is equal to or greater than ₹100 million (~$1.2 million).

The solar modules used should be made in India and from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers list issued by MNRE from time to time of Mono PERC type having module capacity of 600 Wp or above.

The agency had recently invited bids to develop rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 100 MW in Thiruvananthapuram.

Earlier in the month, ANERT had invited bids to implement a 1 MW grid-connected solar project at a government medical college campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
