AMPIN Energy Transition has commissioned a 50 MW open access solar power project in Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district. The project is supplying renewable energy to Texmaco Rail and Engineering.

According to AMPIN, this project is expected to generate around 78.21 million units of electricity annually, enabling customers to replace over 80% of their conventional grid consumption with clean energy. This transition is projected to deliver 30% to 40% savings compared to prevailing retail power tariffs.

Completed in nine months, the project marks AMPIN’s first venture in Chhattisgarh. The company emphasized its strategic importance, highlighting how the initiative strengthens its renewable portfolio in Eastern India while reflecting the state’s progressive green energy open access policy and ease of doing business, both of which support a favorable investment environment.

AMPIN is also constructing a 21 MW solar project and developing another 100 MW of renewable capacity in the state.

Texmaco Rail and Engineering has already commissioned a 10 MW open-access solar project in Chhattisgarh. A 50 kW rooftop solar system has also been installed at the corporate office, contributing to its energy needs.

AMPIN has a renewable energy portfolio of 5 GW spread across 23 states in the country. The portfolio includes solar, wind, and storage projects to provide power to utility and commercial, and industrial customers.

Recently, AMPIN secured an investment of $50 million (~₹4.28 billion) from Siemens Financial Services, the financing arm of Siemens AG. The investment is expected to strengthen AMPIN’s growth in commercial and industrial, as well as utility-scale, renewable energy projects.

The transaction is AMPIN’s third major investment this financial year, bringing the total equity capital raised to $270 million (~₹23.12 billion) this year. The company’s total equity capital raised has reached nearly $700 million (~₹59.95 billion), resulting in a capital deployment of over $4 billion (~₹342.59 billion).
