Agra Civic Body Floats EPC Tender for 7.5 MW Solar Projects

Agra Nagar Nigam has issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for 7.5 MW solar projects at four locations in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
Bids must be submitted by June 13, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹7.2 million (~$84,045) and a tender fee of ₹25,000 (~$291.8).
The projects comprise 2 MW capacity in Kanha Gaushala in Tedhi Bagiya, 750 kW each in Jal Kal 1 and 2, and 4 MW in MSW Plant Chalesar.
Selected bidders must furnish a security deposit cum performance bank guarantee of 10% of the contract price.
The scope of work entails the design, engineering, procurement and supply, and construction of the solar projects. It also includes five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance.
Selected bidders must also install grid-tied string inverters, inverter duty transformers, meters, control panels, and 33 kV switchgear for evacuation and interconnection through wires, cables, and bus bars.
They must meet the minimum efficiency requirement of over 20 % for crystalline-silicon technology-based solar modules. They must procure modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
The projects’ estimated cost is ₹363.5 million (~$4.2 million).
Selected bidders must complete the projects within nine months.
Bidders must fulfill one of the following criteria:
- They must have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least three projects with a minimum capacity of 1.5 MW across multiple locations.
- They must have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least two projects with a minimum 2 MW capacity at two locations.
- They must have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least one project with a minimum 3 MW capacity at a single location.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹150 million (~$1.7 million) in the last three years. They must also have a positive net worth.
In March, Agra Nagar Nigam had proposed a ₹500 million (~$5.8 million) municipal bond issue to part-finance these solar projects.
Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation invited bids to implement a 5 MW rooftop solar project for stations, depots, and other metro sites.
