Adani Renewable Energy Fifty-Six, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy (AGEL), has operationalized an incremental solar power project of 125 MW at Khavda, Gujarat. With the addition of this capacity, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation portfolio has reached 15,990.5 MW.
The solar project is part of AGEL’s ongoing capacity additions in Gujarat. The operationalization contributes to its overall capacity mix, which spans solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects across multiple states.
The company’s operational capacity now stands at approximately 11,005.5 MW of solar, 1,977.8 MW of wind, and 2,556.6 MW of wind-solar hybrid projects.
Adani Green topped the list of utility-scale solar project developers in India for 2024, according to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025. The company accounted for 17.6% of the yearly capacity additions, commissioning 2.6 GW, including 2 GW under its flagship 8 GW manufacturing-linked project in Khavda.
The company reported a 31% year-over-year (YoY) revenue surge, from ₹25.28 billion (~$291 million) to ₹33.13 billion (~$382 million) in the first quarter of the financial year 2026.
Adani Green Energy has expanded its portfolio beyond solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy projects by venturing into pumped hydro storage. In February, it received a letter of award from the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for the 1,250 MW Panaura pumped hydro storage project (PSP) in the Sonbhadra district, with a minimum commitment of 40 years. The project is expected to be completed within the next six years.
The company is also working on several PSPs, including a 500 MW project at the Chitravathi River in Andhra Pradesh, a 1,500 MW project at Tarali in Maharashtra, and a 1,800 MW project at Gandikota in Andhra Pradesh.
In March this year, Adani Green completed a long-term refinancing of $1.06 billion (~₹92.56 billion) for developing wind-solar projects in Rajasthan. This company’s maiden construction facility entails a door-to-door tenor of 19 years with a fully amortized debt structure aligned with the cash flow lifecycle.
