Gurgaon-based independent power producer ACME Solar Holdings has commissioned an additional 12 MW of wind power capacity at its wind project located in the Surendranagar district of Gujarat, taking the project’s total operational capacity to 68 MW out of the planned 100 MW being commissioned in phases. The project is being developed through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy.

The wind project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation and constructed using ACME Solar’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities, with SANY’s 4 MW wind turbine generators deployed at the site.

Power generated from the project will be sold under a 25-year power purchase agreement signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam.

ACME Solar’s technology portfolio includes 3,140 MW of solar power projects, 150 MW of wind capacity, and 3,480 MW of hybrid and FDRE capacity, with approximately 15 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).

ACME Solar’s overall renewable energy portfolio stands at 7,390 MW, including operational, under-construction, and contracted capacities across solar, wind, hybrid, FDRE, and storage projects as of the second quarter (Q2) of the financial year (FY) 2025-26.

Operational renewable capacity is reported at 2,918 MW, while under-construction capacity is 4,472 MW, with around 13.5 GWh of BESS installations. PPA-signed capacity totals 5,180 MW. The company has set a target of achieving 10 GW of generation capacity and 15 GWh of BESS capacity by 2030.

In Q2 FY26, ACME Solar partially commissioned a 28 MW wind project in Gujarat, including the latest 12 MW addition, the cumulative commissioned capacity during  FY26 reached 378 MW. Operational capacity increased to 2,918 MW in FY26.

In December 2025, ACME Solar Holdings secured a debt tie-up of ₹47.2 billion (~$519.2 million) from Indian financial institutions to fund the construction of renewable energy projects and optimize its capital structure by reducing financing costs.

Last October, ACME Solar Holdings signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Tata Power Company to provide FDRE from its 50 MW solar-plus-storage project, at a tariff of ₹4.43 (~$0.05)/kWh.
