50 MW Solar PV Project Tendered in Pakistan

A 50 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project has been tendered in Pakistan by Kulachi Solar Power Project Private Limited. The project will be developed near Kulachi, District D. I. Khan in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The deadline for submitting bids is November 17, 2017.

The tender is for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work and the project will be developed on a turnkey basis. The scope of work includes the engineering, design, manufacturing, supply, erection, construction, testing, and commissioning of the 50 MW project. The successful bidder or bidders will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project following project commissioning.

Kulachi Solar Power Project Private Limited has stated that participants in this tender may include domestic as well as international firms that are in joint ventures with domestic partners. Kulachi Solar Power Project Limited is the project developer and has a letter of interest from the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) for the 50 MW solar PV project.

Upon receiving the letter of interest, Kulachi Solar Power Project Private Limited issued the EPC tender.

Recently, a power purchase agreement (PPA) to procure the power generated from a 200 MW grid-connected solar project was also signed in Bangladesh.
