Bringing Together Large Power Consumers and Clean Energy Solution Providers

Mercom India will host the 5th edition of its C&I Clean Energy Meet series across major Indian cities in 2026. These events are designed to equip commercial and industrial energy buyers with the insights and practical tools needed to adopt clean energy solutions and reduce power costs.

Visakhapatnam (Vizag), a major industrial and port city in Andhra Pradesh, is emerging as an important clean energy and green manufacturing hub, driven by investments in renewable energy, solar manufacturing, energy storage, data centers, and power transmission infrastructure. Andhra Pradesh has

54.7% of the state’s total installed power capacity

. The state also has a substantial renewable energy project pipeline, reflecting its growing focus on solar, wind, hybrid, and storage-backed projects. As Andhra Pradesh strengthens its clean energy ecosystem, businesses in and around Vizag have expanding opportunities to adopt renewable energy solutions, improve energy resilience, and contribute to the region’s transition toward cleaner industrial growth.

For C&I businesses, the clean energy market is also becoming more complex. Rooftop solar, open access, captive and group captive procurement, and emerging storage and hybrid solutions provide businesses with different pathways to meet their energy requirements. At the same time, Time-of-Day tariffs, financing availability, open access and wheeling charges, equipment costs, module sourcing requirements, and evolving regulations are increasingly influencing project economics and procurement decisions.

Clean energy solution providers, supported by advances in technology, financing options, and evolving regulations, are developing solutions to meet these changing requirements. Across the ecosystem, stakeholders in energy, finance, and industry are adapting to a market that is increasingly moving beyond standalone solar toward more integrated approaches to renewable energy procurement, storage, and reliable power supply.

As a trusted voice in the clean energy sector, Mercom India’s

is designed to increase awareness of clean energy opportunities and help C&I customers better understand the technologies, procurement models, market developments, and solutions available to them.
