Military Engineering Services Tenders 4.6 MW of Solar in West Bengal

The Military Engineering Services (MES) in three separate tenders, tendered a total of 4.6 MW solar. The capacity comprises of a 3 MW solar project to be developed at Panagarh, a 1 MW solar project to be developed at Kanchrapara and a 0.6 MW solar project to be developed at Kankinara.

The bid-submission deadline for the projects to be developed at Panagarh and Kanchrapara are June 27, 2017, and for the project to be developed at Kankinara is June 6, 2017.

The estimated project cost for the 3 MW project is Rs.222.1 million (~$3.4 million), for the 1 MW project is Rs.84 million (~$1.3 million) and for the 0.6 MW project is 44 million (~$0.68 million).

According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, a total of 356 MW solar is to be installed by defense establishments in the country.
