Bengal Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals (BCPL) has issued an expression of interest for the empanelment of vendors for installing grid-connected rooftop solar systems of 1 MW each at Manicktala and Panihati factories on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.

The scope of work includes site survey, planning, design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected rooftop solar projects. Bidders must also provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for 15 years.

The scope of work covers all the aspects related to the successful implementation of a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar system for the company, ensuring a net metering facility as per government policies.

The last date to submit the bids is April 13, 2022. The bids will be opened on the same day.

In the last three financial years, bidders must have an annual turnover of ₹10 million (~$131,478). Bidders must either furnish their annual reports or submit a certified turnover certificate for the last three financial years issued by the chartered accountant.

The bidders must have existed as a company for at least three years and must have completed a minimum of three projects of similar nature.

Empanelment will remain valid up to 5 years from the date of signing the agreement, with further renewal made upon mutually agreed terms.

The bidder must commence work within one week from the date of the Letter of Acceptance issue. The successful bidder will be responsible for the timely provision of all resources, information, and decision-making under its control that is necessary to reach a mutually agreed and finalized plan within weeks from the date of issue of the Letter of Acceptance.

The bidder must acquire all permits, approvals, and licenses from all local, state, or national government authorities or public service authorities necessary for the performance of the contract.
