BoS Tender Floated for 100 MW of Solar Power Projects in Punjab

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for the supply of balance of system (BoS) and three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance for 100 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Punjab.

The projects of 50 MW each will be installed at two locations in the state.

The last date to submit the bids is November 14, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit ₹26 million (~$315,991) as an earnest money deposit.

To be eligible, they should have experience as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors or developers and must have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned BoS of grid-connected solar power projects of a cumulative installed capacity of 30 MW or higher capacity. One of such projects should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity and be operating for at least three months before the date of the notice inviting tender.

Alternatively, bidders should have executed an industrial project in power, steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry of a value of ₹750 million (~$9.12 million) in a single project. The project must have been operating for at least six months before the date of the notice inviting tender.

They should also have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as the 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer, either as EPC contractors or developers. The substation should have been operating for at least six months before the date of the notice inviting tender.

The annual average turnover of bidders for the last three financial years should be at least ₹750 million (~$9.12 million) as of the last day of the previous financial year.

The net worth of bidders must be positive in the last financial year and any two of the three preceding financial years.

Bidders should have a working capital of ₹250 million (~$3.04 million) as of the last financial year.

Recently, SJVN Green Energy invited bids to install and commission 70 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Himachal Pradesh.

Earlier, SJVN Green Energy invited bids for the design, engineering, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of 100 MW grid-connected solar power projects in Punjab.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, SJVN has so far floated tenders for 1.9 GW of solar projects across the country.
