The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) has invited bids to set up 4.18 MW of rooftop solar systems under the gross metering arrangement at various locations on its properties in Navi Mumbai under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance for 25 years.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, financing, procurement, supply, erection, testing, installation, and commissioning of the project under a gross metering arrangement.

The project must be completed within 18 months.

The last date to submit the bids is November 17, 2022.

Bidders should have installed and commissioned one rooftop solar system of 3,300 kW or above capacity in a single contract in the last five years, out of which at least 1,600 kW should have been grid-connected solar systems. The project of 1,600 kW should have been operational for the last 12 months before the bid opening date.

Alternatively, bidders should have installed and commissioned two rooftop solar systems of 2,100 MW or above capacity in two contracts in the last five years, out of which at least 1,000 kW should have been grid-connected solar systems. The project of 2,100 kW should have been operational for the last 12 months.

Bidders can participate in the tender process if they have installed and commissioned rooftop solar systems of 1,700 or above capacity in three contracts in the last five years, out of which 850 kW should have been grid-connected systems. The project of 1,700 kW capacity should have been in successful operation for the last 12 months.

The net worth of bidders should be at least ₹70 million (~$850,402) in the last financial year, and bidders should be profit-making organizations in the last three years.

The annual turnover of bidders should be at least ₹170 million (~$2.07 million) during the last five years.

Last November, CIDCO had invited bids for consultancy services to prepare feasibility and detailed project reports and bid documents for implementing solar power projects on its properties.
